Photography Tuition – Booking Terms & Conditions

Thank you for booking a personal photography tuition experience with Tony Reed Photography.

I want your time with me to be relaxed, enjoyable and rewarding. These terms explain how bookings, cancellations and rescheduling are managed, so we both know what to expect.

1. Booking and Payment

All photography tuition experiences are booked and paid for in advance through the Tony Reed Photography website.

The available options are:

Half-Day Tuition: 4 hours – £150
Full-Day Tuition: 8 hours – £290

Once your booking and payment have been received, I'll contact you to discuss your photography experience, learning objectives and a mutually convenient date and location.

Your tuition will be tailored to your individual needs and abilities.

2. Locations and Travel

Tuition normally takes place in the Yorkshire Dales and surrounding countryside, at locations agreed in advance.

Where possible, locations will be selected to suit your photography interests, experience and the skills you'd like to develop.

Any additional travel requirements or associated costs outside the usual tuition area will be discussed and agreed before the session.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

Your 14-Day Cancellation Period

You can cancel your booking within 14 calendar days of purchase and receive a full refund, provided the tuition has not already taken place or started at your express request under the arrangements explained below.

This cancellation period is calculated from the date you purchase your tuition experience, not from the date of your scheduled tuition session.

Cancellations After 14 Days

After the initial 14-day cancellation period, bookings are normally non-refundable where a cancellation results in reasonable costs or losses that cannot be recovered.

Any cancellation charge will be fair and proportionate to the circumstances. Any refund due will take account of reasonable costs already incurred, the notice provided and whether the reserved session can be filled by another customer.

Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

4. Rescheduling Your Tuition

I understand that plans can change.

If you need to rearrange your tuition, please contact me as soon as possible.

I'll offer one complimentary change of date, subject to availability and reasonable notice.

Additional changes will be considered individually.

If I need to cancel your session due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, I'll offer an alternative date. If a suitable alternative cannot be agreed, you'll receive a full refund.

5. Weather and Outdoor Conditions

Outdoor photography is influenced by the weather, and changing conditions often provide some of the most interesting photographic opportunities.

However, your safety and enjoyment are always my priorities.

If severe weather or other conditions make our planned session unsafe or unsuitable, I'll contact you to discuss alternative arrangements.

This may involve changing the location or rearranging the session for another mutually convenient date, at no additional charge.

If I'm unable to deliver the agreed tuition and a suitable alternative cannot be arranged, you'll receive a full refund.

6. What to Bring

Please bring your own camera and any lenses or accessories you'd like to learn more about.

I recommend bringing:

Fully charged camera batteries
Spare memory cards
Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear
Any other equipment you regularly use

Some locations may involve walking on uneven ground.

Please let me know in advance if you have any accessibility requirements or practical considerations so we can plan suitable locations.

Health, Safety and Participation

Photography tuition may involve walking outdoors on uneven, steep or occasionally slippery terrain.

Before your tuition date, you will be sent a Health, Safety and Participation Agreement, including an injury liability acknowledgement, which must be read, signed and returned before the session takes place.

This agreement will outline the potential risks associated with outdoor photography and the importance of following appropriate safety guidance.

Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

7. Your Complimentary A4 Print

Every half-day and full-day tuition experience includes a complimentary professional-quality A4 photographic print of your favourite image captured during our session.

After your tuition, we'll arrange the selection of your chosen photograph.

Your print will then be produced and delivered to your UK postal address at no additional charge.

The print is supplied unframed.

8. Your Photographs and Privacy

All photographs you take during the tuition remain your own.

You're welcome to share, display, print and enjoy your photographs however you wish.

I will not use photographs featuring you for promotional purposes without your permission.

Any personal information provided during booking will be used to arrange and deliver your tuition and related services, in accordance with the Tony Reed Photography privacy policy.

9. Tuition Within 14 Days of Purchase

If you would like your tuition to take place within 14 days of purchasing your experience, please contact me before arranging the session.

Where statutory cancellation rights apply, tuition can begin during this period only following your express request.

If you subsequently cancel after tuition has begun at your express request, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already provided, where permitted by law and where the required information has been given.

If the tuition has been fully delivered following your express request and acknowledgement of the consequences, your statutory right to cancel that service may end.
